Resolutions To Change Our Lives

By Carmen I. Uribe

RESOLUTIONS

Why don’t we try to make ONE resolution that will make a difference, and that will give us the strength to change many things in our lives? LET US EMBRACE LIFE AND LIVE IT IN THE NOW - How?  By becoming Aware of what is going on around us and within us, and accepting it as it is Now.  When we dwell on a situation, we are creating a problem, until we are ready to take action. Most times, a change in attitude or how we perceive the situation will make things easier to deal with or to change it.

Let us make a difference in our lives and in the world. We can do this by BEING PEACE!  Peace and joy is found within and not in a person, something, a condition, or a situation. We have to accept that we are Divine Beings, that we are by nature Love, that we are born to experience life, so that we can evolve and progress as a person. As we learn the spiritual lesson contained for us in each chapter of our lives, that phase passes away and makes room for a new set of conditions - This is a Universal Law!

Our thoughts make us who we are and what happens in our lives. Your mind is like a garden that you can cultivate intelligently or allow to run wild. Whether care for it or neglect it, the garden will grow. If no useful seeds are planted, many undesirable ones will fall into the fertile ground, and weeds will take root. You can uproot all your negative, useless, beliefs and consciously nurture powerful, positive thoughts instead. Eventually, you will discover that you are the master gardener of your soul and the director of your life.

Thought and character are one. Because your character manifests itself outwardly, the outer conditions of your life will always mirror you inner state. This doesn’t mean your entire character; it means that whatever you’re going through is intimately connected with some vital thought element within you. Chances plays no role whatsoever in the circumstances of your existence—it’s all the result of an unerring law. This is just as true for people who feel a sense of alienation with their surroundings as it is for those who are in harmonious balance.

Like attracts like, and if we keep thinking negative thoughts of not having enough, suffering, hate, worry, fear, that is exactly what will continue to flow into our lives. Manifest what you want to come into your life, live in a conscious state of mind by accepting what is in your life Now, then finding ways to change what you can. Take control of your life! Remember, you can’t change other people, but you have choices, and free will to change what you can in your life.

AFFIRMATION
“As I go within to the sacred center of my being, I can realize that I am more than my behaviors, my thoughts, or my feelings. I understand that I am not held to any detrimental habit or negative attitude or thoughts. Making changes in my thoughts and actions, I release habits that may have limited me in the past. Each day I express the freedom of my spiritual nature, I make decisions that are right for me. I speak with kindness and appreciation about myself and others.”

We may not always have the opportunity to forgive someone in person, yet we can forgive them in our heart and mind, and bless them. Remember to forgive yourself for any seeming mistakes you have made, actions you regret, or words you wish you could take back. Through forgiving yourself and others, you release the negativity you may have been carrying around, and allow more positive, loving thoughts to fill your mind and heart. Through this loving act, you will free yourself and others from the past, and  open the way to a brighter future.
