SOUND HEALING TREATMENTSound can be used to create balance and alignment in the physical body, the energy centers called "Chakras," and/or the etheric fields. Sound may be applied by an instrument or by the human voice. Sound healing is a vibrational therapy and can be understood as being energy medicine. Let's say that sound is the Sonic Feng-Shui for the body because sound massages our internal organs and physical body down to a cellular level. Basic principle of sound healing is that of resonance; every object is in a state of vibration and therefore creates sound. Sound can affect us on all levels - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Beneficial sounds for us are often sounds that we consider "sacred." Sound is being re-discovered as an extremely powerful tool for personal growth and transformation. This medium is being successfully used to induce a state of physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Sound is being rediscovered in the healthcare arena for the enhancement of health, vitality, pain management, hospice/pallative care, numerous phsychological and behavioral conditions, stress reduction, etc. Sound is also being used to help people of all ages, including Children with learning disorders, with speech and voice problems, perceptual disturbances, lateral organization, learning difficulties, anxiety problems, problems with autonomic nervous system, concenetration and memory. There are many different medical treatments that involve sound. We hear sound through our ears, our skin, our bones, our sense of touch, and through the cells of our body. It affects our physical well-being, our emotions, and our responses to the world around us. I highly recommend Sound Therapy for reduction of stress and relaxation. During a healing therapy, I use my voice, Tuning Forks, Crystal Bowls, Chakra Chimes, Tibetan Bowls and more to assist in the healing process. Treatments can be for half an hour to an hour depending on the need. Please contact me for more information. Sound therapy does not replace medical treaments by a physician, and can be used in conjunction with medical treatment. Please consult your physician if you are under medical care.
